Our Process (Camps)

Spending many years in the pharmaceutical community and seeing firsthand the number of children on medication on a daily basis, we realized that Health Care personnel spend an inordinate amount of time in camps, schools, and other facilities dispensing and administering medication.

We developed Rapps Camp Program Rx as one of the safest and most effective and convenient ways to pre-package medicine so each child gets the right medication at the right time, on the right day. Rapps Program RX currently services Camps, Schools, Group Homes and other Healthcare related facilities with this program.

Today most states require Camps to pre-package medication in order to minimize errors.

Our Program Rx process is simple and convenient. There is no cost to the camp for utilizing our service. Camp and Camper registration is on-line.  Old-fashioned off-line registration is available for those whose needs/lifestyles desire.

Medications that are in pill form including vitamins and nutritional supplements will be packaged, sealed, and sorted according to date and time of administration.  Each package may hold all of the medications a camper requires for that day or time, as per individual state regulations.  Packages are clearly labeled.  These individual packaged medications, along with our individual Medical Administration Record (MAR) are printed for each camper and will be sent to the camp 1 week prior to each session.  Over the counter and PRN (as needed medications) will be packaged separately.  Prescription and over the counter medications that are not in pill form such as liquid medications, ointments-creams, eye-drops, inhalers, and epi-pens can also be dispensed by our pharmacy and will be sent in conjunction with pre-packaged items.

As you know, medications can only be dispensed in 30 day intervals.  If the camper requires medication for more than 30 days and is staying at camp for longer than that period, a refill is required and those meds will be systematically sent to camp in ample time before needed.

We will provide our services free to all of your scholarship campers.  No Camper will be left behind.  Each situation will be handled on an individual basis with Program RX Management.

We are licensed throughout the United States accepting most Insurance plans. The cost of any medication not covered by Insurance as well as any co-payments and deductibles will be billed to their credit cards.  Emergency orders are always accepted with an additional express overnight shipping charge where required. 

Our turnaround delivery service is quick, shipping same day and in 24 hours throughout the United States where Camp destinations permit. We work very closely with your healthcare staff to mitigate the panic and worry that accompanies the daily process of medication administration.
